Raphael Kirchner's influence on contemporary illustrators:
Spanish anonymous series

In a series of 10 unsigned postcards from a Spanish edition, without any indication from the publisher, we find two postcards taken from Kirchner's G.3 series, but transformed with small touches, as does a pupil who wants to interpret the work of the teacher. In fact, comparing the two images, the figures take on a different attitude and not only for the background which is darker than the original and makes the atmosphere sadder.
In una serie di 10 cartoline non firmate di un'edizione spagnola, senza alcuna indicazione dell'editore, troviamo due cartoline tratte dalla serie G.3 di Kirchner, ma trasformate con piccoli ritocchi, così come fa un allievo che vuole interpretare l'opera del maestro. Infatti, confrontando le due immagini, le figure assumono un atteggiamento diverso e non solo per lo sfondo che è più scuro dell'originale e rende l'atmosfera più triste.

Anonymous Spanish "he loves me, he loves me not"
Contrary to what we deduce from Kirchner's drawing, in that of the Spanish artist the hands of the girl leafing through the flower, gloved in black and facing downwards, lead us to foresee a negative response from the "loves me, loves me not".
Contrariamente a quanto deduciamo dal disegno di Kirchner, in quello dell’artista spagnolo le mani della ragazza che sfoglia il fiore, inguantate di nero e rivolte verso il basso, ci inducono a prevedere un responso negativo del “m’ama, non m’ama”.

Anonymous Spanish "lonely Amazon"
In the next postcard from the anonymous Spaniard, the drawing of the two girls on horseback is flipped horizontally and the second woman eliminated. The lonely Amazon has lowered the whip and loosened the bridle, it seems to us to reflect on a recent disappointment, while Kirchner's drawing shows her on a carefree walk in friendly company.
Nella successiva cartolina dell'anonimo spagnolo il disegno delle due ragazze a cavallo è stato ribaltato orizzontalmente e la seconda donna eliminata. L'amazzone solitaria ha abbassato la frusta e allentato le briglie, ci sembra riflettere su una recente delusione, mentre il disegno di Kirchner raffigura una spensierata passeggiata in amichevole compagnia.
